ECB spends more 9 billion euro for the QE program

In the last week, the European Central Bank has bought 9.734 billion euro of public sector bonds (government bonds and bonds of agencies and institutions) as part of the Quantitative Easing program, according to the release of the ECB. The amount refers to the securities purchased in the so-called 'public sector purchasing Program (PSPP)' which, together with the covered bond purchases, Abs, and corporate bonds is part of QE by 80 billion euro per month.

The amount of public sector securities purchased by Eurotower amounted to a total of 878.545 billion euro. Also yesterday, the ECB announced the purchase of covered bonds and asset-backed security last week. The figures were respectively 582 million euro and 267 million euro. The total amount of covered bonds amounted to 183.570 billion euro and that of Abs to 19.925 billion euro.

Finally, the corporate bond purchases, parties on June 8, amounted to 6.798 billion of euro, an increase of 1.9 billion from the previous week.
