Apple tax: UK and Turkey ready to welcome Cupertino

The day after the sentence with which the EU has fined Apple for 13 billion euro for unpaid taxes, the first proposals came from other countries. The risk, according to Cupertino, is that the decision "will have profound consequences on investment and on jobs in Europe.
"Apple should move to Turkey," , Mehmet Simsek, deputy MP wrote on Twitter. "Happy to provide more generous tax incentives. Won't have to deal with EU bureaucracy."
In UK, The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said “The narrative of the Government has been well set out. Britain is open for business, we welcome any company wishing to invest in Britain and Britain’s workforce". While in the US, the White House has made its concerns emerge for what is termed "unilateral action".
Meanwhile, Apple and Dublin will appeal to the European Court of Justice, but in the meantime there are no loopholes: that money will be returned. "This is not in fact a fine ', recalled the Vestager Commissioner, but of taxes due and not paid. Even in the event of an appeal, therefore, Dublin will have to collect those 13 billion plus interest. Then, if necessary, it will put them in a blocked account pending the verdict. Meanwhile other states that will claim the tax jurisdiction over those profits will ask Apple to pay taxes: the sums will climb from 13 billion.
