Paris Auto Show: Ferrari revealed sold-out Aperta

LaFerrari Aperta has made its first appearance in public at the Paris Motor Show on Thursday, the droptop version of the brand's hybrid hypercar launched in 2013.

Ferrari sales head Enrico Galliera said to Reuters that it will be limited to 209 special edition cars, 200 of which have already been pre-sold while the remainder will be kept in house for anniversary celebrations and added: “For us a limited edition is a way to reward our clients".

Launched to coincide with Ferrari's 70th anniversary, the LaFerrari Aperta takes the same 800hp V12 petrol engine as the regular model, combined with an electric motor. It’ll complete the 0-62mph run in 2.9 seconds, the same as the hard top, and max out at 217mph.

No pricing has been revealed.

According to Bloomberg, the company has a target to increase overall production to 9,000 cars annually by 2019 from about 8,000 now.
