Russia and Japan near to close an agriculture deal

Japan plans to discuss a number of specific proposals with Russia to be partakers with its entrepreneurs to the development of the agricultural sector in the Russian Far East. According to the newspaper Sankei Shimbun, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko will visit Moscow to discuss these proposals on November 1.
In the agreement, it should be a new Japanese agency to support the private sector in the development of agriculture in the Russian Far East. They will try to increase agricultural production and improve the quality of products using Japanese technology, the newspaper said. Japan hopes that this program will help to settle the territorial issue with Russia which has dragged on since the end of World War II.
According to experts, it’s in the best interests of both nations to focus on the positives in their relationship. Last May, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe emerged from his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Black Sea resort of Sochi and declared the start of a “new approach” to Japan’s relations with Russia. This announcement, now, becomes true.
