New cartoon animation on social media; actor sir Michael Gambon partners with Aberdeen Asset Management in “The fables of fixed income”
Aberdeen Asset Management has released a new short online cartoon animation series of moral tales to consider when investing in bonds – The Fables of Fixed Income narrated by Sir Michael Gambon
Fable 1: Diversity
Fable 2: Independence
Fable 3: Discovery
Fable 4: Caution
Fable 5: Perseverance
Fable 6: Flexibility
This is the third cartoon series produced by the asset manager, following the Ten Golden Rules of Equity Investing, narrated by John Cleese, and The Seven Deadly Sins of Multi-Asset Investing, narrated by Joanna Lumley. The first two series have collectively been watched over four million times on YouTube.
Ten Golden Rules of Equity Investing
Seven Deadly Sins of Multi-Asset Investing
The cartoon animations were adapted from booklets produced by Aberdeen that draw on the experiences of fund managers and look to guide investors away from common mistakes made when first investing in equity, bond or multi-asset funds or markets.
The series may be watched on Aberdeen’s magazine channel, “Thinking aloud”, that explores big picture macro themes, investment insights, and stories the group finds inspiring.
Commenting on the animations, Group Head of Brand Piers Currie said: “This has been a really absorbing project for Aberdeen Asset Management. We hope that we have created an animation that is not only entertaining and engaging but also offers some behavioural steers to investors of all types and ages.”
