Brexit, Chancellor Osborne unhurried: "We will leave when we are ready"

While the initial effects of Brexit were clearly visible in the main financial markets, George Osborne, the British finance minister, suggests that the government will not implement the steps quickly, or that Great Britain will activate Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty leave the EU when it is ready "at the appropriate time".
Osborne, with the premise that the country is ready to face the turbulence caused by the decision to leave the Union, explains that "Only UK can activate Article 50. And, in my opinion, we should not do it until we have a clear vision of the new arrangements to be introduced with our European neighbors ".

And by removing any possibility of improvisation, he points out that "The Bank of England is ready to support the financial stability of the country" and "Britain is ready to face whatever the store for the future," although "the effect is uncertain on the economy and public finances ".

Osborne, 45 year-old, is one of the key characters of the Tory party, and, according to rumors, it is among the candidates to Downing Street. "I clarify my role in the party in the coming days," he said in public, although political observers point out that his first public speech after Brexit "is a speech by the future prime minister."
