Credit Suisse requires patience to its shareholders

Investors need not fear: Credit Suisse is now "safer than ever", supports the chairman of the management Tidjane Thiam, pointing out that the institution is making progress in its transformation process.

"The course of action should not be confused with the security of the bank and with the solidity of the budget," Thiam said in an interview published yesterday by the NZZ am Sonntag. In fact, the bank is working with a long-term strategy that will bear fruit later. "The course of action will move when they give you the results and when our strategy will give a good account of himself", Thiam says he is convinced.

The decline of the title, in the last week temporarily fell below 10 francs, it is also due to speculators, operating mainly in the restructuring phase. The reason why, according to Thiam, shareholders must show patience: so far it only spent one of the twelve quarters provided for the restructuring of the institute.

On the situation he found on his arrival, Thiam was highly critical: "At the end of September of 2015 were far greater risks than other European banks, but significantly less capital."
