Every year SFTA brings together the Swiss FinTech ecosystem for a fun social event to celebrate the progress since our first event over three years ago.
To celebrate the occasion this year, we are hosting an open air debate on open banking in Switzerland. The theme has been explored by us for many years, including a deep dive into PSD2 two years ago and an engaging event on Open Banking & APIs last year. However, the progress has been limited. The industry remains in closed room debates about whether to open up the Swiss banking system to new innovations and, if so, how to go about doing it.
So, in the true spirit of openness, we are gathering leading players from all sides to debate the status quo and what Switzerland should be doing to make the most from the opportunity presented by open banking.
