Hillary Clinton: historic nomination for the White House

Hillary Clinton is officially the candidate of the Democrats in the upcoming US presidential election, as well as the first woman to run for the White House. She was nominated as a result of a vote of the delegates of the party, gathered at the convention in Philadelphia.

Finished counting, she has passed the threshold of 2,383 preferences, needed to be chosen. For the final go-ahead, however, it was not until his Thursday night speech in which she will communicate to accept the nomination. In this regard, however, the outcome seems obvious. Especially as the former first lady and Secretary of State wrote on his Twitter profile, after the counting of votes, that "these are times for every little girl who dreams big."

In second place it stood as expected Bernie Sanders, who in recent hours has asked to choose Clinton, although several supporters have openly voiced their dissent.

Her husband Bill, the former president, has crowned his wife, describing her as "the best innovative I have ever met in my entire life." In reference to the last Republican convention, when most speakers attacked his wife and the delegates chanted "lock her up," Bill Clinton called their depictions in "cartoon" version of her that the Republicans made up because the "real" one is too tough to beat.
