Italy: new voluntary disclosure program on deck

Italy could reopen the voluntary disclosure, the resurfacing program to the funds held abroad illegally. The announcement was made by Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan, guest of the Italian talk show Porta a Porta.
The new window may, in fact, lead into national treasuries almost 4 billion (the first program ended at an altitude of 3.8). "We are studying the" mechanisms for a new return of capital, "said Padoan, who then added:" I'd settle for a fraction of the amount already recovered, I hope I can recover a bit less than 4 billion. "
The reopening of the voluntary disclosure, that would cover the tax year 2014, could take place with the "Italian House" project, a decree law with measures for reconstruction in the areas affected by the earthquake on August 24, nearing completion .
On this point, especially with regard to the reconstruction of second homes, the technicians are studying the facilitating measures that require financial cover, which in part may just arrive from voluntary bis.
The "Voluntary Disclosure" allows Italians who hold financial assets or property abroad not declared to the tax authorities, to heal their position, even criminal, paying their taxes and to a lesser extent the sanctions.
The first regularization program had recorded 129,000 applications submitted by taxpayers, bringing out 60 billion euro (69.6% of which came from Switzerland), the proceeds of which, 4 billion in fact, had allowed the Italian government to fulfill the commitments of statements taken with Europe.
