Microsoft is betting on legal marijuana business

Microsoft has officially announced its partnership with Kind, a US start-up, to launch, on the market, software that keeps track of the marijuana plants from seed to sale within the legal market.
"We believe that in the area there will be significant growth. With industry regulations, there will be more transactions and we believe there will be more sophisticated requirements and tools ", to be respected and to develop, Kimberly Nelson says, responsible for solutions to the state governments and local Microsoft.
The use of marijuana for therapeutic purposes is permissible in 23 US states, while still illegal at the federal level, while Colorado, Washington and Oregon will also allow use of recreational type for a turnover that will reach, according to forecasts, the $ 26 billion over the next five years. Creating a major market has thus led several small businesses including the company Kind, who has already activated its own sales network through a sort of vending machines, which Microsoft has decided to launch the ambitious project.
The software will be part of the Azure cloud computing platform and has the sole intention of making analysis and accurate statistics and provide a valuable tool for local governments to promote grass legitimate trade. Microsoft made it clear that will not take part in any way in the final stages of the sale of cannabis and does not preclude participation at single-issue conferences to present their software along with Kind.
