PostFinance: lower rates for companies

PostFinance will lower rates for the companies for payments made with the PostFinance Card at the electronic terminals EFT / POS, after Mister Price had pushed towards this direction.

The reductions agreed upon by both parties globally will reduce PostFinance SA revenue of at least CHF 3.5 million in 2017 and at least 4 million francs in 2018, as stated in today's press release of Price supervisor. The authorities took action in the second quarter 2015: the investigation had established that the business segment in question the Post Office branch has too high margins.

Companies with an annual traffic volume of between 10,000 and one million transactions will take advantage of the reduction of one cent for each transaction: the prices will then range from 19 to 22 cents. Those with higher volumes have the opportunity to consult individually PostFinance to obtain a reduction.

The prices for companies with a volume of less than 10,000 transactions (23 cents) and those for purchases with amounts less than 5 or 10 francs (5 and 10 cents respectively) remain rather unchanged.

Mister Price will perform checks to verify that the reduction targets of PostFinance revenue forecast for the next two years will be achieved. If this were not the case, the group is obliged to compensate the difference in the following year with additional measures.
