Rossana candy back in Italy: Nestlé sells to Fida
Change of ownership for the brand of candy Rossana: the Nestlé Group has signed a preliminary agreement for the sale to Fida, an Italian company with headquarters in Asti, the business unit relating to the Rossana brand candies, Fluxes, Glacia, Fruttallegre, Lemoncella and Spicchi. Nestlé, according to a joint statement, has chosen the proposal submitted by Fida, Asti company established in 1973 which operates exclusively in the candy industry.
The sale hardly comes suddenly, indeed it was in the air for some time, especially after the beginning of march in the Swiss multinational company had announced 60 million investment over three years on Bacio Perugina and clarified that he would not spend a euro for Rossana : according to the company business (which accounts for 2% of the market share) would not hold. A decision that the unions had strongly objected , but now look carefully operation with Fida, Asti company founded in 1973, which operates exclusively in the candy industry as brands like Sanagola and Charms.
In this way – Nestlè reiterates – the factory in San Sisto (Perugia) will focus on producing "core" of the company, the chocolate of excellence.
