Basel City leads the ranking of the highest average (567.34 francs), followed by Geneva (553.53 francs), while the lucky ones are the Appenzell people (347.50 CHF).

In Ticino premiums will increase from 447.88 to 473.60 francs (+25.72 francs or + 5.7%) for adults, the Grisons from 361.10 to 380.5 (+19.40 francs or + 5.4% ).

Since, 1996, LAMal has entered into force, the average premiums have more than doubled from 173 to 447 francs (+ 158.38%). And the next will be the largest increase in the past six years, ie from + 6.5% in 2011.
According to VPOD union Raoul Ghisletta, the increase is due to the continuous deterioration of the mechanisms used to pay public subsidies (federal and cantonal), aimed at reducing health insurance premiums paid by the lower class.
