LinkedIn banned by Russian government

LinkedIn will not be accessible in Russia as the State Government have asked to remove the app from the app stores. The decision was reached after a local court in Russia found LinkedIn to be in violation of their law requiring any service that collects data on Russian Citizens to house that data within Russia’s borders.

As per the directions from the Russian government, Google and Apple have removed the access to the LinkedIn App.

EU approved $26 billion deal Microsoft-Linkedin

The European Union has given Microsoft the green light over its $26 billion acquisition of LinkedIn, CNBC reports. As expected, the EU has put some conditions in the deal. As expected, the EU has put some conditions in the deal.

The European Commission granted its approval on the condition that Microsoft allows rival professional networking sites to integrate its Office applications and cloud-computing services for the next five years. PC makers in the EU will also have the option of not installing LinkedIn’s app, Microsoft said.

Linkedin co-founder Hoffman offers $5M for Trump’ s tax documents

Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, has offered five million dollars to 10 veterans affairs group, if Donald Trump will make public the figures of his income tax return by the date of the final debate between the candidates for the US presidency.

The Hoffman offering ranks in support of Pete Kiernan, a veteran of the Marine Corps who has launched a crowdfunding campaign promising to allocate the money collected to active non-profit organizations in assisting veterans if Trump declare his earnings later, precisely on October 19. The goal is set at US $ 25.000; whether it will be achieved, Hoffman will quintuple the sum raised.
