Hedge Fund Traders are a little bit narcissists

The world of hedge funds is often a cut throat one, where manipulation is often considered just a part of the game. But a new study shows that the most aggressive, ruthless traders actually do worse than the ones who try a little tenderness.

The study, found in the latest issue of Personality & Social Psychology Bulletin, finds that hedge fund managers who exhibit ‘psychotic’ behavior (defined by healthcare professionals as someone who acts in a manipulative fashion for personal gain) had the worst investment records.

Chipotle downgraded by excessive labor costs

Shares in Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. were falling slightly Wednesday after an analyst downgraded the stock, claiming excessive labor costs. Bank of American Merrill Lynch downgraded Chipotle and cut its earnings targets for 2018 and 2019, saying the struggling restaurant chain will have trouble cutting back labor costs any further than it already has.

Goldman Sachs: Switzerland I’m coming

Goldman Sachs wants to expand its investment bank in Switzerland and is in the process of upgrading its trading operations in Zurich to a branch from a representative office, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday, aas Bloomberg News reported.

The change would allow Goldman Sachs to do a wider range of broker/dealer-type activities, and does not involve the New York-based bank expanding in the wealth management or advisory businesses, the person said.

Netflix stocks jump after subscription price increase

Netflix shares reached a record high on Thursday, following the company’s decision to raise its prices for US subscribers. Netflix stock closed at $194.39 per share on Thursday, up 5.4% for the day.

Netflix raised the price of its most popular "standard plan" service to $10.99 a month from $9.99. Its highest-tier plan, which supports 4K video resolution and four simultaneous streams, will increase to $13.99 a month from $11.99.
